to Portinari’s house EXCURSIONS

Departure
from the convention center at 13h30 to
BRODOWSKY, the birth city of the painter
Candido Portinari. (aprox 30km from the
convention center).During
the visit with monitors from the Museum,
we will have the opportunity to get to
know some wall paintings by Portinari,
using fresco and tempera techniques, drawings,
studies, personal and professional objects,
furniture, tools and documents that belonged
to the artist and his family. The Museum
also presents exposition rooms for the
public to get to know several facets of
the artist’s work, such as: The Poet,
The Politician and The Drawer. In
the garden of the house, there is “Grandma’s
Chapel”, which the artist made for
his grandmother to pray, where Portinari
painted her favorite
saints, detailing their appearance as if
they belonged to his own family.
Return
to the convention center after the visit.
