Abstracts: Procedure for submission

Results were sent, by email, to the corresponding author. It is also available on this author’s registration area.

Deadline: July 06th / 13th, 2022

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Abstracts (in English) will only be accepted if submitted by July 06th / 13th, 2022
  • No abstracts will be accepted after this deadline. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to refuse any abstracts written in inadequate English or containing orthographic errors.
  • Submissions will be analyzed by the Abstract Review Committee, according to directions from the Organizing Committee. This Committee will verify the adequacy of the abstracts for presentation at the Congress and publication in the Annals (Online).
  • The best abstracts will be selected for oral presentation during the “Congress”. Please, confirm at abstract submission your interest to be considered for oral presentation.
  • Abstracts will be selected for oral presentation based on their scientific merit and the degree of general interest.  Abstracts considered for oral presentation must be first-authored by a student (undergraduate, master or Ph.D.) or postdoctoral fellow, who will necessarily be responsible for the study presentation during the Congress.
  • A maximum of one abstract will be accepted per presenting author. The author presenting the study will be required to register for the Congress. Please register before the abstract submission deadline, July 06th / 13th, 2022.

GUIDELINES FOR ABSTRACT PREPARATION

Attention: Enter the information on the form and registration (Title, authors), in the order you wish them to appear on the certificate.

Text: Subheadings (Introduction, Methods and Results, Conclusion)
Footnote: Indicate sources of financial support
Abstracts not complying with the above specifications will not be accepted. Special attention should be given to written English, as abstracts containing spelling, orthographic or grammatical mistakes will be rejected.
Abstract Elaboration: Maximum 2500 characters (Including spaces).

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
Submit your abstracts at congressos.sbi.org.br/immuno2022 by July 06th / 13th, 2022, classified by one of the areas listed below:

  • Cellular Immunology (CE)
  • Chemokines and Trafficking (CT)
  • Clinical Immunology (CL)
  • Education in Immunology (EI)
  • Humoral Immunology (HI)
  • Immunology of Infectious and Parasitic Diseases (ID)
  • Immunopharmacology (IP)
  • Immunoregulation (IR)
  • Innate Immunity (IN)
  • Molecular Immunology (MI)
  • Transplantation and Immunogenetics (TR)
  • Tumor Immunology (TU)
  • Vaccines (VC)

ABSTRACT EVALUATION
Abstracts will be evaluated by the Abstract Review Committee for compliance to the guidelines and the criteria outlined below:

  1. Area related to Immunology.
  2. General interest of the study subject.
  3. Ethical clearance (research on humans and laboratory animals).
  4. Language.
  5. Definition of study methodology.
  6. Definition of abbreviations.
  7. Clear description of the results.
  8. Conclusion supported by the results.

References should be restricted to a minimum (no author names) and, if necessary, the abbreviated journal title should be used, followed by volume: first page-last page, year (e.g. Brain Res. 472:24-40, 1992). Citations like (Ashley et al., 1994) will not be accepted.

Abstracts should comply with the guidelines and criteria described above and be submitted in a format adequate for graphical reproduction. In cases of non-compliance, a revised version of the abstract may be re-submitted. Subsequent acceptance will be at the discretion of the Abstract Review Committee.

APPROVAL

The acceptance letter for the approved abstracts will be sent, by email, to the corresponding author by August 15th, including all necessary information and guidelines for the preparation of posters and oral presentations.
